Kalmax Resources & Business Development Limited is a Sierra Leone owned company that mine and export various types of minerals which include Zircon sand, Titanium Dioxide(Rutile, Ilmenite) Columbite – Tantalite(Coltan), Gold, rough Diamond, Platinum Group Metals (PGMs),Tin, Chromite and various types of gemstones.


Our concessions, which are located in the north and eastern parts of Sierra Leone, have large deposits of high grade Coltan which is also known as Columbite Tantalite, making Kalmax Resources & Business Development Limited one of the major indigenous producers and exporters of Coltan (Columbite tantalite and known industrially as tantalite).

Coltan (Columbite tantalite) is used to manufacturing tantalum capacitors which are used for mobile phones, personal computers, automotive electronics, and cameras etc., and Sierra Leone has joined the league of countries with the largest deposit of Coltan (Columbite tantalite).

New buyers are required to do their own test analysis before shipment, so we send samples at buyers’ own expenses to do their own analysis before shipment.
